If you have not been to church for a while....

If you have not been to church for a while …………enlightened….

First of all thank you for looking at our website. Everyone attending St Peter’s, or St Mary’s always receives a warm, friendly welcome and on their arrival will be given a service booklet or a service sheet. If the songs/hymns are not written in the order of service the hymn numbers are listed on a board at the front of the church.

All children attending a service have the opportunity to leave the main service and take part in Junior church where they have their own activities, returning to the main service later on.

The service on the first Sunday in the month is less formal and may take the form of a family Café Church where we offer hospitality around the tables during the service, or Songs of Praise for example and many people find this is a good time to revisit church, others enjoy café church.

At the end of the service everyone is invited to stay for a hot drink and a biscuit which gives people the opportunity to make new friends and strengthen existing friendships. We celebrate birthdays every week and sometimes there is cake to eat!

If you would like the congregation to pray for yourself, or someone in need please email Father Mike  mike@blanch.org

If you would like to light a candle to say thank you for something good in your life, or in memory of a departed loved one, you will see a candle holder in both churches near the front of the church on the right hand side. Just drop a coin in the box, select a candle and light it from one already lit.

If you want to find out more about Christianity then please look at “What it means to be a Christian” on the Church of England website.

We look forward to seeing you soon. smiley
